What working with us
actually looks like.
Most venture studios are vague about this on purpose. We're going to be specific — because the questions you have are the questions every scientist we've worked with has asked.
You stay. You don't get replaced.
Co-founder (typically CSO or CTO). We bring in operating leadership. You keep doing science.
Meaningful, and we'll show you the maths.
Inventor and lab hold a significant founding stake. Splits depend on TRL, IP terms, and capital required.
Full-time founder, or one day a week. Your call.
Many inventors join as CSO or CTO full-time. Others — typically senior academics — prefer to stay in their lab and contribute as scientific co-founder one day a week, or will join our advisory board.
A small team. The same names every week.
Senior partners directly — not associates passed down from a hierarchy.
We do the TTO conversation with you.
Framework agreements with for instance UCLouvain, ULiège, UMontpellier, or CNRS France. We negotiate alongside you, not around you.
A feasibility sprint. No commitment.
Industrial pain-point validation, IP strategy, market sizing, candidate CEO and broader team conversations.
TRL 7
TRL 7 is when the company finds its home.
Around year 4 to 5, your venture reaches TRL 7 — field-proven, industrial-grade, ready for scale. A real milestone, not a finish line. What happens next depends on the company and who's at the table: an industrial acquirer, a strategic buyer, or a growth-stage investor consortium that backs the company to keep building independently. We find the right path with you when the moment arrives.
